A Wet Spring!

I realize that it's been quite awhile since I've updated this blog, but things have been real busy around my place. I have been spending quite a lot of time chasing severe storms all across the plains of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. If you are interested in reading about my severe storm chases, you can check out my chase blog here.

We have been getting a lot of rainfall in Pittsburg, Kansas so far this Spring. I really hope that the rainfall will continue into the Summer months, to help keep us cool. At least we don't have drought conditions this Spring, like we did last Spring. Rainfall last year at this time was really pitiful. Hopefully in the next few days, I will post a blog entry giving some total rainfall amounts so far this year, compared to last year. Also, don't forget to check out CoCoRaHS (Community Collaborative Rain Hail & Snow Network) if you are interested in being a volunteer precipitation observer for your area. More information can be found on there website
here.

It won't be long until the dreadful dog days of Summer will arrive, and I'll be wishing for Fall to arrive once again. If anyone out there ever has any weather questions, or if you just want to chat, you can get ahold of me through my website
